My first solo exhibition titled : Glimpse (2025)

From the beginning of my MassArt career, I have loved working with analog film. This section of the exhibition showcased digitized projection of my hand painted work. Oftentimes, I use Bombay India Inks and bleach to paint my film.

These are still frames from the digitized 16mm

Experimental Analog Horror Created using found footage

Apocalypse inspired horror short created for my Sophomore Film 2 final. This was my first time practicing discontinuity editing and horror soundscaping. My goal was to create a piece of media that felt corroded and destroyed. I like to imagine that after some apocalyptic event someone found a hard drive and once they plugged it in, they got all of this overwhelming chaos. A tape that simply makes no sense, yet it makes you feel overwhelmed and uneasy. It’s jarring and loud, broken and destroyed. It’s a lost file leftover from times unknown. This experimental short uses handmade elements such as painted 16mm overlays. After making this piece, I had a newfound love for creating spooky material. Discontinuity editing has continued to linger in my practice, for it has now become my favorite technique.

Kantrovitz 2024

Mixed media collage video created using personal archival photo/video

This piece was created in honor of two great women, my grandmother and my mother. Everyday they help me, support me, and guide me through life. They are relentlessly independent and positively fierce. They are exceptional mothers, loving friends, witty aunts, respected workers, devoted volunteers, etc. The first screen is dedicated to my grandmother, Gerda. The second is dedicated to my mother, Pamela. And the third, is a culmination of our lives together. Everyday I cherish the moments that we spend together. I love hearing about their adventures, discoveries, friendships, romances, and essentially anything else they want to share with me. This piece showcases their lives through archival photos and found video. I collected the images from a variety of family albums. Each photo holds a memory long past. Life recently has since been filled with the three of us, but at one time they were each just girls. They had their own lives and their own struggles, yet they each prevailed on to become strong, smart, and hardworking women. I am happy to be their cheerleader and I am grateful to be their future.

CLAWS (08:21) 2025

Feline Comedy Sketch – Filmed on Canon EOS M50

Everyone says that their cats have personality. But when I say MY cats have personality, I mean it! My daily source of happiness comes from these three cats. They’re understanding, comedic, sporadic, judgmental, and to me, perfect. Each of my cats have extremely distinct personalities. Gracie, my eldest cat, is nonchalant and fierce. My tail-less cat, Nellie, is goofy and reserved. And my youngest cat, Noodle, is spontaneous and fearless. Their dynamic personalities often clash, resulting in humorous moments that I always appreciate. This film was inspired by this daily anarchy. The cats rule the house, we just happen to live here too. This was my first time both working on a comedy piece and hiring voice actors. I faced a variety of challenges while making this film, yet it holds a very special place in my heart. I adore my pets, so this silly piece was the perfect homage.

School Street (01:36) 2023

Family Portraiture – Filmed on a Blackmagic camera

For this piece I wanted to highlight the little moments that make my life great. Oftentimes throughout the day, there are small things we look over. Common things that happen too often to care about. I am fascinated by these in-between moments. I believe that small things we often look over normally end up impacting us the most. For me, these in between glances are filled with peace and love. Whenever I find my grandmother playing on the computer, or my mum dancing in the kitchen, it’s a reminder that right now in this moment everything is okay. I wanted to capture this feeling in order to immortalize it forever. I don’t want to forget the little moments in between, I want to cherish them forever.

EXPOSING COCA-COLA 2024

Media Hijack Created using found footage

The Coca Cola company has been avoiding accountability for nearly a century. Their long list of controversies started in 1892. My film primarily focuses on 4 major topics : (1) Water Displacement. (2) The Columbia Killings a.k.a their involvement in paramilitary groups. (3) Human right violations. (4) Pollution. Other controversies include : Tax avoidance, Unlawful employee surveillance, Censorship, Severe health risks, Destruction and corruption of local lands, History of animal testing, Connections to apartheid, Pesticide residue, Water contamination, “Greenwashing” aka. Marketing propaganda, Gender discrimination, Cultural appropriation, and finally just overall worker inequality. It’s somewhat understandable for a multi- billion dollar company to be unethical, but THIS is a whole new extreme. They hit every major red flag possible. And, to put it lightly they hate the planet. Their “green initiative” is filled with broad statements and unfulfilled promises. They take advantage of their wealth and they ignore those in need. When things become “TikTok famous”, they release a ‘peaceful’ blanket statement and then (like the wind) they move on. Yes, they will leave areas… AFTER destroying them. And no, they will not compensate for their damages.

The moral of the story is Coca Cola’s corruption is abominable.

Companies owned by Coca Cola include : Bang’s, BodyArmor, Costa Coffee, Dasani, Diet Coke, Fairlife, Fanta, Fresca, Fuze, Georgia Coffee, Gold Peak Tea, Jack Daniel’s Coca Cola, Minute Maid, Peace Tea, Powerade, Schweppes, Simply, Smartwater, Sprite, Vitamin water, and about 200 other brands in over 200+ countries worldwide.

Boston (05:33) 2024

CityscapeFilmed on Canon EOS M50

I was introduced to the idea of Cityscapes in my Sophomore year. Immediately, I became interested with the idea of creating one. I am not a Boston resident or local. When I visit the city it’s enjoyable and exciting so this film reflects that romanticized version. I wanted to capture architecture, street signs, landscape, and most importantly environmental sound. Building the soundscape for this piece was exciting and intimidating. I spent 3 days capturing video and audio, yet I still feel like there is so much more to showcase. Boston is a big, busy city so this video is mostly focused on the BackBay area. I want to capture each neighborhood individually, that way I can spend more time in each space. I plan on making more “mini” cityscapes dedicated to Downtown, Southie, Faneuil, etc. At the end of this video, it leads us into Boston Common and Park Street station, hinting at the next future location. I enjoyed making this piece because it made me more observant of my surroundings. Normally I’m so busy looking ahead that I don’t take time to look up, down, around, etc. This video gave me the opportunity to explore places that I like with a whole new perspective.

Pawn (02:24) 2025

Experimental filmFilmed on Canon EOS M50

A man is stuck in a never ending board game loop of despair. He plays a variety of games, yet he never wins or loses, he just keeps playing. This is a silly experimental video that I created to practice camera angles and post-production editing. I still think there is work to be done on it, but for now I appreciate its oddities.

Roots (2023)

16mm Bolex film showcasing my day to day life at home

   Dirndl of Dreams 2023

Eco Print, Dye, Fabric, String, White Lace, Buttons, Edelweiss Flower Thread, & Yellow trim lace

Top: 12 inches x 17 inchesSkirt: 15 inches x 12 inches – Apron: 17 inches x 18 inches

During my Form Study course we were given the objective to create an Ecoprint and then transform it into an object that served as a tool for communicating with past, future, and chosen ancestors. Ecoprinting is a natural fabric dying technique where you combine rust water with plant materials to create unique patterns and colors. I chose to make my ecoprint into a Dirndl to represent my Austrian roots. I have fond memories of my grandmother, Gigi, working away on her huge rustic sewing machine. She has always been the family seamstress, so it only made sense to pay homage to her craft. The “Dirndl” is a traditional dress that originated in the Alpine regions of Austria and Germany. It’s a national symbol of identity, heritage, and pride. In order to connect the past, present and future I chose to make the Dirndl for a little girl. In the far future when I have a family, who knows maybe we’ll unpack it for halloween! The flower thread you see lining the apron was gifted to me mid project by my Gigi. It’s an edelweiss flower thread straight from Austria. Edelweiss is the national flower of Austria so it tied the piece together perfectly. As for the process, I started by dyeing some of the ecoprint yellow to match the other fabric. I then weaved the original ecoprint, the dyed ecoprint, and the bright yellow fabric to create a unique pattern. I had so much fun making this project, and I’m quite pleased to say my Gigi loved it too! It was super far out of my creative comfort zone. Before this project I had never touched a sewing machine, hand sewn anything, or had to put the bobbin in. I ended up hand sewing most of this piece due to my bobbin difficulties. Regardless I am super proud of this piece and I dearly love who / what it represents.

I dedicate my practice to the community that helped me get here! This was was to showcase them!
